Somewhere over the Rainbow

For an order placed a loooooooooong time ago (no, I'm still not taking new orders:( Once again, I matched the invitation which you can see next to it. It originally was 6 layers - one for every color of the rainbow. But it was over 8 inches tall - that won't even fit on a party plate!

Jazzercise!

In honor of our jazzercise instructor (and good friend)'s 10th anniversary of teaching. Who knew exercise could be so fun?

Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting...

Chocolate cake with fondant belt, lapel, and letters. I didn't have a cookie cutter for the karate man on the badge, so I had to improvise - I made a stencil and filled it with coloring gel. I was afraid it might run, but it stayed put until the party!

Cake at the Carousel

One of my favorite things to do when decorating, is match the cake design to the invitation. I really liked making this cake. Hope the birthday boy enjoyed it and his very own smash cake.

What 2 year old doesn't like Elmo?

Happy Birthday, Charlie!

Happy Birthday, Charlie! If you need a fabulous party for a 4-6 year old boy - The Fire Museum in Jackson throws a great party!

I thought it would be fun to post some pictures of the cake-making process...because something ALWAYS goes wrong. But they are still on my mother's camera...but I'll post them soon. Once again, the cake took much longer than I expected, and had several bumps along the way. But Charlie was happy because Batman was driving...that's really all he cared about anyway.

We will still accept cookie and occasional cake pop orders. Just email me for availablility. Check back in September - I may take on one cake a week.

Thank you for all the orders! It has been a fun, allbeit brief, experience:)

Something smells fishy...

Might need a little work the next time I attempt this cake...I wanted to try "luster dust" that would give it a little iridescent look. The directions say you can mix it with vanilla flavoring or vodka and brush it on - don't know how that would go over at a little kid's birthday party!

A Garden Party

Lots of flower cupcakes, with fondant bees and picket fence.
(Because of the cupcakes, this cake is a little more than a standard cake - depends on the size of the cake and number of cupcakes.)
